The MSME Business School, Assumption University of Thailand, successfully hosted The 23rd International Business and Economy Conference (IBEC2025) during January 3–6, 2025, at Suvarnabhumi Campus. The conference provided a platform for scholars and practitioners to engage in intellectual discussions on strategic challenges in the global arena.
The event featured in-person sessions across five specialized tracks: Finance and Economics, Management and Marketing, Accounting and Sustainability, Business Analytics, and Hospitality and Tourism. Participants attended presentations, panel discussions, and networking sessions tailored to these fields.
The conference commenced with a welcome address by Assistant Professor Dr. Dhanoos Sutthiphisal, Dean of MSME Business School, followed by remarks from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wei He, Conference Chair from IONA University. Rev. Bro. Dr. Sirichai Fonseka, President of Assumption University, delivered the inaugural address, emphasizing the importance of such forums in fostering academic and professional growth.
A highlight of the opening day was the keynote speech by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Manapol Ekkayokkaya from Chulalongkorn University, who shared insights on emerging trends in the global business landscape, titled “Navigating Economic Turbulence: Financial Innovations and Strategies for Sustainable Growth Implications from M&As in Emerging Economies”.
As the event concluded, organizers and attendees reflected on the invaluable knowledge and connections shared during the four days. The success of IBEC 2025 demonstrated the power of international academic collaboration in tackling global challenges and promoting innovation.
