| The School of Music, Assumption University of Thailand, proudly co-hosted the 3rd charity concert “Hear with Ears, Know with Heart”, in collaboration with MBK Center and student groups from National Defence College Alumni (วปอ.บอ). The concert aimed to empower and support vulnerable groups in society, including persons with disabilities, the elderly, children, and youth from shelters and juvenile centers, by providing them with opportunities to showcase their musical talents, release original songs, and perform alongside some of Thailand’s leading artists.
The event featured star-studded performances by renowned artists such as Tee Jetset’er, Ae Jirakorn, Playground, Potay Mean, Pause, Season Five, Lomosonic, The Parkinson, among many others. Their involvement not only created an unforgettable musical experience but also inspired and uplifted the participating youth, offering them a professional platform for artistic expression. The project originated from the aspiration to develop visually impaired students from the Bangkok School for the Blind into professional singers and musicians. Rather than focusing on sympathy, the initiative emphasized recognition, inclusion, and sustainable opportunities in society. Through workshops and mentorship, participants learned key skills such as singing, performing, songwriting, and music production with guidance from senior artists. In addition to the concert, students from the project successfully created five original songs, which are now available on ABAC School of Music’s YouTube channel and leading music streaming platforms. These works highlight the creativity and potential of young talents who, despite challenges, can thrive when given the right opportunities. Relevant SDGs:
