| Bangkok, August 21, 2025 — Under the guidance of Professor Zhao Chengqing, doctoral students majoring in Arts, Music, Sports, and Entertainment Management at Assumption University of Thailand (AU) participated in a unique off-campus practical teaching activity. The educational tour, designed as part of the course Management of Art Exhibition and Art Museum, featured in-depth visits to the National Museum of Thailand and the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), providing students with firsthand exposure to Thailand’s rich cultural heritage and contemporary artistic innovation.
National Museum of Thailand: History and Culture in Dialogue
In the morning session, students explored the National Museum of Thailand, where ancient artifacts and exhibitions offered a vivid journey through the nation’s centuries-old civilization. Traditional masterpieces such as lacquerware and porcelain highlighted Thailand’s exquisite craftsmanship and cultural heritage, sparking students’ reflection on the significance of preserving and promoting traditional arts.
Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA): Innovation Meets Tradition
In the afternoon, the group visited MOCA, home to over 1,000 artworks from Thai and international artists. The students were particularly inspired by the private collection of Mr. Boonchai Bencharongkul, where contemporary works reflected deep insights into Thai society, culture, and belief systems. This experience not only broadened the students’ artistic perspectives but also stimulated creativity and innovative thinking for future artistic endeavors.
