AU Graduate Students Explore Innovation & Sustainability at Decathlon Bangna

February 28, 2025 — Graduate students from the Graduate School of Business & Advanced Technology Management (GS-BATM) at Assumption University of Thailand (AU) had the opportunity to participate in an exclusive behind-the-scenes visit to Decathlon Bangna, one of the world’s leading sports retailers.

The session was led by Tharit Chanthasorot (HRBP Supply & Warehouse, Bangkok Area), Suwit Praphansri (Bangna Store Leader), and Janejira Jittham (Business Developer, Schools & Hotels). Students were introduced to Decathlon’s history, product development processes, and community initiatives, including free sports events and educational workshops.

Participants explored Decathlon’s eco-friendly, high-performance, and affordable product lines, gaining insights into the company’s global expansion and its mission to “move the people.” The experience provided a practical understanding of integrating innovation, sustainability, and entrepreneurship in a global business context.

This field visit exemplifies experiential learning, fostering students’ ability to apply sustainable business strategies and innovative practices in their future careers.
