On September 5, 2024, Assumption University of Thailand (AU) and MG Sales (Thailand) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish the Alternative Energy Innovation Engineering Center. This strategic collaboration aims to advance innovation in new energy vehicle technologies while providing students with hands-on experience in the evolving automotive industry.
The ceremony took place at the Lobby of the Cathedral of Learning, Suvarnabhumi Campus, and was led by Rev. Bro. Dr. Sirichai Fonseka, President of AU, alongside Mr. Xu Yin, Authorized Director of MG Sales (Thailand). Both emphasized the importance of industry-academia collaboration for developing highly qualified talent in the intelligent vehicle and sustainable energy sector, supporting Thailand’s role in global automotive innovation.
The MoU signing included an exchange of souvenirs and a ribbon-cutting event, followed by a guided tour of the new facilities at the New Energy Innovative Engineering Center. This partnership demonstrates AU’s commitment to fostering innovation, sustainability, and real-world learning opportunities for its students.
