Field Trip to the Royal Office School & Museum Siam

On January 17, 2025, students from The Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts, Assumption University embarked on an enriching field trip to the Royal Office School (โรงเรียนช่างฝีมือในวังชาย – วช.) and Museum Siam.

At the Royal Office School, students gained hands-on experience and knowledge in traditional Thai arts, including Thai mural painting, lacquer painting, woodcraft, stucco, and pearl inlay. The visit provided an in-depth understanding of the processes, techniques, and cultural significance of these art forms.

Following this, students visited Museum Siam, where they explored Thai contemporary, traditional, and local arts spanning from the Rattanakosin period to the present, connecting historical perspectives with modern creative practices.

This trip provided students with practical learning experiences and inspired them to integrate Thai cultural heritage into their creative projects.
