Global Healthcare Exchange: Nursing Students from University of Stavanger Complete Internship at AU

The Bernadette de Lourdes School of Nursing Science

, Assumption University of Thailand (AU) proudly welcomed two Public Health Nursing students from the University of Stavanger (UiS), Norway — Ms. Marie Balchen and Ms. Silje Tjosvoll — for a professional internship at the Bernadette de Lourdes School of Nursing from February 24 to March 21, 2025.

During their internship, the students gained hands-on exposure to Thailand’s healthcare system, with a special emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention. Their program included campus activities at AU as well as practical community engagement, notably delivering health education sessions at the Kee-Fa-Yah Children Care Center.

This international collaboration provided a valuable platform for cross-cultural learning, professional exchange, and the strengthening of global healthcare education. The initiative not only enriched the students’ academic journey but also fostered deeper mutual understanding between Thailand and Norway in the field of nursing and public health.
