AU and Parul University Explore New Opportunities for Academic Collaboration in India

On October 7, 2025, Assumption University of Thailand (AU) began a new chapter of academic engagement in India with an inaugural visit to Parul University, led by Rev. Bro. Sirichai Fonseka, F.S.G., Ph.D., President of AU, together with Dr. Chainarong Rungruengarporn, Dean of the Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics (MSME), and Dr. Bhumiphat Gilitwala, Program Director of MBA & Smart MBA.

Hosted by Parul University’s Center for International Relations and Research, the meeting explored opportunities for student and faculty mobility, exchange programs, joint research, and summer courses. Both institutions shared a vision of connecting academic learning with real-world experience while expanding international opportunities for students and faculty.

The two universities agreed to develop a practical roadmap covering short-term exchanges, co-supervised research and publications, summer programs in Thailand and India, and potential academic articulation pathways. The collaboration marks an important step toward strengthening international education, research, and graduate employability.
