AU and University of Malaya Strengthen Cross-Border Learning Through Integrated Real Estate Project

Assumption University of Thailand (AU), through the Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics (MSME), and the Faculty of Built Environment, University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia, launched the Integrated Real Estate Project following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on August 13, 2025.

Held from August 13–18, 2025, the program brought together UM and AU students and faculty for a week of academic workshops, expert lectures, industry discussions, and field visits to key real estate and urban development sites across Bangkok. Led by Dr. Suwaree Tantanawat, Chairperson of AU’s Department of Real Estate, the program connected classroom learning with professional practice through corporate visits and engagement with government agencies.

The initiative provided students with valuable insights into Thailand’s real estate industry, urban development, and policy environment while strengthening academic and cultural connections between Thailand and Malaysia. It also demonstrated the shared commitment of AU and UM to industry-relevant education, innovation, international collaboration, and sustainable development in the built environment.
