AU Strengthens Campus Food Safety with “SAN Certified” Recognition

On December 3, 2025, the Office of the Vice President for Legal and Privilege Affairs, Assumption University of Thailand (AU), in collaboration with the Bang Sao Thong Subdistrict Administrative Organization (SAO), held the “SAN Certified” Award Ceremony at the Suvarnabhumi Campus. The ceremony recognized 48 food vendors that successfully passed rigorous hygiene assessments under the “New Normal” food safety standards.

The assessment covered key areas including food preparation environments, food quality, utensils, personnel hygiene, and pest control, with evaluations conducted by AU and public health experts from Bang Sao Thong SAO. The SAN standard emphasizes Sanitation, Accountability, and Network, highlighting the importance of clean food environments, responsible risk management, regular inspections, and cooperation between authorities and food operators.

The initiative reflects AU’s commitment to protecting the health, safety, and well-being of students, faculty, and staff while strengthening cooperation with local government authorities. By promoting consistent food safety standards across campus food outlets, AU continues to build a healthy, safe, and supportive learning environment.
