AU Students Explore Thailand’s Renewable Energy Future at BCPG Solar Farm

In September 2025, a group of students from Assumption University of Thailand (AU)—Anaïs Vieille, Nathan Roussel, Cyriaque Hellot, and Timothée Lafeuille—visited BCPG’s solar farm in Ayutthaya to gain first-hand insights into renewable energy and Thailand’s transition toward a low-carbon future.

During the visit, the students learned about solar power generation and explored innovative approaches to decentralized renewable energy. They were particularly interested in BCPG’s rooftop solar program, which enables households and businesses to access solar energy with reduced upfront costs, lower electricity expenses, and opportunities to sell surplus electricity back to the grid.

The experience encouraged students to reflect on how renewable energy can contribute to energy accessibility, grid resilience, environmental sustainability, and business competitiveness. The visit provided valuable hands-on learning and strengthened students’ understanding of how technological innovation can support sustainable development.

SDGs Alignment

  • SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy – Promotes understanding and adoption of renewable energy, particularly solar power, and supports wider access to clean energy.
  • SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure – Exposes students to innovative renewable energy technologies and emerging energy systems.
  • SDG 13: Climate Action – Builds awareness of low-carbon energy solutions and the role of renewable energy in addressing climate change.
  • SDG 4: Quality Education – Provides experiential learning that connects academic knowledge with real-world sustainability challenges.
